Report on flexibility, technologies and scenarios for hydropower
INESC TEC, together with the above XFLEX HYDRO project partners, is developing a comprehensive framework to assess flexibility and system support services provision for future power systems linking hydroelectric power plants, system services technical aspects and market mechanisms.
INESC TEC will present their new report on the early stages of this work, covering:
· Ancillary services and market frameworks – current and future trends
· XFLEX HYDRO project demonstrations and technological solutions to be assessed and/or implemented
· Early stage matrices to evaluate ancillary services, markets and the XFLEX HYDRO demonstrations
· An overview of the existing hydroelectric power plants portfolio in Europe.
Webinar participants will also receive an introduction to the XFLEX HYDRO initiative and a progress update on the demonstrations.
The presentations will be followed by a live Q&A.
The presenters will be:
· Prof. Carlos Moreira, Senior Researcher at INESC TEC
