When flexibility extends power plant life: battery storage and run-of-river

This presentation shows results of thoroughly examined and optimised battery-hydro hybrid system, utilising advanced modelling techniques and algorithms. The hybridisation of the Vogelgrun run-of-river plant has led to enhanced frequency response dynamics and a notable reduction in wear and tear. The comparative results involve digital twins alongside an identical unit without battery storage support, operating under the same conditions for a comprehensive analysis.
